NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting

The Instructor Led Only takes place in a traditional classroom and range environment. The course Instructor will contact you shortly thereafter. Course topics include: gun safety rules, proper operation of revolvers and semi-automatic pistols, ammunition knowledge and selection, pistol selection and storage, shooting fundamentals, pistol inspection and maintenance, marksmanship, and shooting range safety. Additionally, students will complete live fire training and a nationally standardized shooting qualification while on the range with an NRA Certified Instructor. Students will receive the NRA Guide: Basics of Pistol Shooting handbook, take a Basics of Pistol Shooting Student Examination and receive a course completion certificate bearing the signature of the NRA Secretary and your NRA Certified Instructor. Topics covered include: Shotgun Knowledge, Nomenclature and Safe Gun Handling, Ammunition Knowledge, The Fundamentals of Shotgun Shooting, Shooting Positions, Live Fire Qualifications, Scoring Targets, Selecting and Maintaining Your Shotgun, Further Opportunities for Skill Development, Written Exam (50 Questions)

Cost: $115 with $50 Deposit Due Within 7 Days of Registration
NRA Basic Shotgun is the first step for any gun owner. Our courses have a limit of 10 students to better ensure the high-quality of training each student deserves. We cover basic nomenclature, the rules of safe gun handling, marksmanship fundamentals, how to load and unload, and firearm ownership mindset. Final payment is due anytime before the start of class. Please bring suitable clothing for the indoor classroom and the outdoor range, and most importantly a positive attitude and willingness to learn. We encourage you to bring your own firearm and ammunition (100 rounds), along with Eye and Ear Protection. However, IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A FIREARM OR AMMO, simply let us know and WE CAN WORK WITH YOU.
